External IP is a publicly accessible static IP address that can be used to connect to the private IP address of your resource. An External IP will link to an internal IP and functions as NAT (Network Address Translation) to enable your resources to connect to the internet.

How does the DDoS Protection work?
Our DDoS protection provides an additional layer of protection that helps secure your websites, applications, and the entire networks from various types of cyber attacks, especially DDoS attacks, on layer 3 and 4.
The DDoS protection works by analyzing your incoming traffic (ingress) to detect if there are any threats. In case of there are no threats, the traffic will bypass the scrubbing center and proceed through our NIX links, resulting in an exceptionally low latency during peacetime.
When it detects threat traffic, the traffic will be sent through the Global Scrubbing Centers network to distinguish between legitimate traffic and malicious visitors. Any traffic identified as a threat will be blocked, ensuring that only clean traffic can access your resource.
