load balancer

Load Balancer

There are 2 types of load balancer provided: standard and dedicated. You can select the type that best suits your applications.

More Info

Standard Load Balancer

Resources of the standard load balancer are shared among all standard load balancers in the same availability zone, so you can use the load balancer at a lower cost. This type offers active connection up to 31,850 and throughput up to 2 Gbps. Data processing and new connections are charged based on your usage.

* The monthly price is the estimated price based on the assumption that an instance or node operates for 730 hours per month.

Dedicated Load Balancer

The dedicated load balancer enables exclusive use of resources, resulting in superior performance that is not affected by others. This type is guaranteed the active connection of 63,700 and throughput of 4 Gbps. There are no additional charges for the data processing, as it is included in the package.

Pricing Example

Since the cost of data processing and new connection has been included in the hourly rate of the dedicated load balancer, only the hourly rate of load balancer usage is used to calculate the fee. Accordingly, we will only provide an example price for a standard load balancer.

For the case of choosing a standard load balancer with the BKK1 data center and HA topology, if you have been using 1 TB data process and 20,000 requests of new connection for 300 hours, the price will be calculated as follows:

  • The 300-hr use
  • 300 hrs x 11.95 THB = 3,585 THB
  • The 1 TB of data process
  • (1 TB x 1000 GB) x 0.1672 THB = 167.2 THB
  • The 20,000 requests of new connection
  • (20,000/1,000) x 0.1672 = 3.344 THB

Therefore, the total cost of the load balancer usage for this case will be 3,585 + 167.2 + 3.344 = 3,755.54 THB.
